A flower that bloom once every 3000 years (Youtan Poluo)

The existence of the youtan poluo was for many centuries believed to be nothing more than a myth, until a Chinese farmer called Mr Ding found examples of these tiny, white flowers, which measure no more than 1mm in length. The flowers are mentioned in Buddhist scripture but only bloom once every 3000 years, so you have to be very lucky to see them. This flower is native to China and Taiwan, as well as the Koreas, where it grows on a statue of Buddha at the front of the Chonggye-sa Temple in Seoul.
